Board of Assessors authorizes office stamping of exemption and abatement documents

YARMOUTH — The Yarmouth Board of Assessors unanimously authorized the Assessor's office to stamp statutory exemption applications, abatement applications, and denial notices at its May 14 meeting. Board member Pauline Israelian presided, alongside member Carlene Jones, Director of Assessing Andy Machado, and Assistant Assessor Tara Monroe. The board also unanimously approved monthly assessor's reports.
Director Machado reported completion of second-half real and personal property tax billing by the May 1 deadline and confirmed publication of the fiscal year 2027 senior exemption workshop schedule in the Senior Milestone Newsletter. The Registry of Motor Vehicles has submitted the third motor vehicle commitment for 2026, now under processing.
