Board of Health approves extensions for two human services grant applicants.
Board of Health · Meeting of June 1, 2026
Yarmouth Board of Health grants two organizations extra time to submit grant applications. The Board unanimously approved late-submission extensions for Family Table Collaborative and VNA of Cape Cod after both missed the May 1 deadline for Human Services Grant funding, with Assistant Health Director Barry Lewis confirming the Department already holds their applications. In plastic regulation business, the Board granted Sea Dog Brew Pub/Café a variance through October 31 to exhaust existing inventory of noncompliant cups and lids while phasing in compliant alternatives, while Subway reported it has already replaced all noncompliant items.
The Board also approved a procedural shift under which the Department will conduct initial review of plastic waivers, leaving only complex cases for Board consideration.
