Board of Health approves plastic waivers for eight local businesses

Board of Health · Meeting of May 4, 2026

Yarmouth Board of Health approves plastic-use waivers for eight local food businesses. The board granted extensions ranging from July through December 2026 for Basil Thai Cuisine, Ambassador Inn and Suites, The Mariner Resort, All Seasons, Cape Flats Pizza, The Friday Club, Cape Cod Creamery, and Hole in One to deplete existing supplies of single-use cutlery and containers. A Subway waiver request was tabled pending contact with the franchise district representative scheduled for June 1.

A motion to table the Nicotine Free Generation regulation failed 2–2, moving that discussion to the May 18 meeting.
