YARMOUTH — The Community Preservation Committee agreed unanimously not to accept late applications after declining a Recreation Department request for $100,000 to resurface basketball courts at Peter Homer Park. Chair Judith Wilchynski noted adequate public notice was given for the August 26 deadline and suggested the department resubmit for the 2028 funding cycle. The Committee also reviewed seven preservation applications requesting a combined $525,000, including $100,000 for affordable housing in Harwich, $235,000 for walkway and dock improvements at Driftwood Lane, and $100,000 for homeless shelter renovation in Hyannis.
The Committee requested additional documentation and letters of support before proceeding with funding decisions.
