Conservation Commission approves negative determination and certificate for MacLennans addition.

Conservation Commission Agendas and Minutes · Meeting of April 16, 2026

YARMOUTH — Conservation Commission issues determinations and continues five coastal projects. The Commission chaired by David Bernstein approved a negative determination with special conditions for a proposed addition at 81 Crowell Road and issued a certificate of compliance for work at 29 Parkers Neck Road in votes unanimously passed. Five other development proposals affecting wetlands and coastal resources were continued to May 7 or May 21 for plan revisions addressing vegetated buffer requirements, mitigation plantings, and dock configurations.

An Order of Conditions for Jeffrey Chizmas's float expansion at 66A River Street passed 6-1, despite opposition from two abutters concerned about larger boat use; Waterways Committee Chair Julian Mallett warned that oversized vessels would constitute a navigation hazard subject to removal by the Harbormaster. The Commission re-appointed Paul Huggins to the Community Preservation Committee for a one-year term.
