Finance Committee approves $19.3 million Cape Cod Tech budget, endorses 12 warrant articles

Finance Committee · Meeting of March 4, 2026

YARMOUTH — Finance Committee backs Cape Cod Tech's 4.51 percent budget increase. Dr. Robert Sanborn III reported the FY27 operating budget of $19.3 million reflects enrollment growth, particularly from Yarmouth at 171 students--the second-largest town contributor.

Finance Director Jennifer Mullen outlined a significant water budget increase tied to sewer-project debt and plans to restructure water repayment over 20 years rather than 30 to lock in lower rates. Yarmouth's total FY27 assessment for Cape Cod Tech is $4,746,886. The committee voted unanimously to advance 12 warrant articles, including transfers for Recreation HVAC, Parks equipment, Golf maintenance, and enterprise budgets for wastewater, cable, and fire department capital.
