Yarmouth Finance Committee approves IT budget transfer, reviews FY27 Public Works divisions. The committee unanimously authorized moving a GIS consultant salary from Information Technology to Engineering under the Department of Public Works following a retirement. DPW Director Jeffrey Colby outlined plans to hire two full-time supervisory positions for the wastewater treatment plant nearing completion, with Finance Director Jennifer Mullen cautioning that general obligation bond restrictions prevent ceding complete operational control to a private contractor.
The Water Department budget includes a 10 percent rate increase effective July 2026--the first in 25 years--and funding for a new Asset Manager position. Facilities maintenance and repair funding was increased to $100,000 from an approved $80,000 in FY25, though requested $130,000 remains unfunded.
