Finance Committee approves seven warrant articles totaling $54.4 million in municipal spending.

Finance Committee · Meeting of March 11, 2026

Yarmouth Finance Committee backs $54.4 million municipal budget and $35.7 million library construction. The library project, presented by architect Matt Oudens and Library Building Committee Chair Judy Traver, will serve a new 25,400-square-foot facility at a site near McArthur School. The Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners has pledged $13,442,768 in grant funding, leaving the town obligated for $22,263,322 and adding approximately $0.16 to the tax rate starting in 2031.

The committee voted unanimously on the municipal budget, water, septage, and Cape Cod Regional Technical High School budgets; Finance Committee Chair Richard Simon and member Alyssa Mullin recused themselves from the library vote due to a potential appearance of conflict of interest, with final committee recommendation on the library project scheduled for March 18.
