Finance Committee recommends FY27 budgets for Select Board, IT, and Finance

YARMOUTH — Finance Committee votes unanimously to recommend FY27 Select Board, IT, and Finance budgets. New Community Development Director Meggan Eldredge presented plans to upgrade an Economic Development Program Manager position using the Tourism Revenue Preservation Fund. Deputy Building Commissioner Tim Sears reported the Municipal Inspections division issued approximately 7,800 permits and conducted over 8,300 inspections in the prior year.
Health Department Assistant Director Barry Lewis reported short-term rental application compliance rose from 49 percent three years ago to 53 percent as of January 15, citing stricter insurance requirements and mandated yearly inspections now required by building code.
