Historical Commission moves forward on grave markers, monument, and historic signage.

Yarmouth Historical Commission advances three heritage projects. The Commission confirmed that vendor John Fougere has fabricated approximately twenty SAR grave markers scheduled for March installation, and authorized procurement to hire John Vozzella as foundation contractor for the Revolutionary War Monument based on prior project experience and strong references. Chair Julie Mockabee reported that an archaeological reconnaissance survey funded by 2019 Community Preservation Act dollars will be completed by summer 2027, while the Commission reviewed an 18-sign interpretive historic signage initiative with costs ranging from $1,365 to $3,480 per sign, pending Select Board approval for town-owned locations.
The June 20 Independence Day monument celebration is set for the Intermediate School parking lot with handicapped bus access.
