Library Board approves prior minutes; updates staffing and building project timeline.
Library Board · Meeting of April 16, 2026
YARMOUTH — Library Board approves prior minutes and hears staffing updates ahead of building project special town meeting. Director David Aronson reported that Dorothy becomes a full-time library technician splitting time between West and South Yarmouth locations, and Lauren resigned effective May 9; the Board is considering a new full-time position and seasonal role beginning in July. The June 24 special town meeting, backed by 247 petition signatures, faces a June 30 state grant deadline and will include a revised presentation incorporating projected repair costs for current buildings and program statistics.
Board members Jane Garvey and Helen Niedermeier will draft a revised Leonard Room Policy incorporating distinctions on group endorsement, for-profit versus non-profit use, and the Library Director's final authority on room use decisions.
