Library Building Committee approves adjournment after cost and grant updates.

Library Building Committee · Meeting of March 12, 2026

YARMOUTH — Library Building Committee reviews cost and grant strategy as capital project moves forward. Tim Arnold of Accenture presented revised cost estimates and addressed Finance Committee questions, including a recommendation to raise construction contingency to eight percent with an estimated $500,000 impact. The committee discussed whether to pursue LEED certification and solar panels--estimated at $600,000--under the Green Incentive Grant framework, ultimately deciding to consider solar as a future alternate bid package, lease, or donation.

Outreach activities expanded with a completed 10-minute podcast set to air, plans for video production, and a March 15 community event at the Sea Dog.
