YARMOUTH — Library Building Committee clears state review milestone and begins cost estimating. The project scored 255 of 288 points on its Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners evaluation, with consultant Matt Oudens reporting minor questions on study room size and handicap accessibility will be addressed over the course of construction. The town declined a second cost estimate due to budget constraints.
Chair Judy Tarver oversaw approval of outreach plans spanning high school coordination, video development with Lori Sullivan, and staffed table events at PTO Skating on February 1 and the Newcomers group on March 18, with upcoming presentations to the Finance Committee on March 11 and Board of Selectmen on March 24.
