Library Building Committee votes twice to approve prior minutes
Library Building Committee · Meeting of March 26, 2026
YARMOUTH — Library Building Committee clears procedural votes before May election. The committee unanimously approved minutes from its March 5 and March 12 meetings. Library Director David Aronson reported the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners will vote April 2 on its report; deferring the project would forfeit the MBLC grant and jeopardize future state funding.
The Select Board voted 3-2 on March 24 to place the library article on both the May 19 election and April 28 Annual Town Meeting warrants, despite the Finance Committee's 1-4-2 vote against recommendation and board concerns about timing with other tax overrides on the warrant.
