YARMOUTH — Old King's Highway Committee approves four historic district applications, tables solar project. Chair Robert Wilkins, Vice Chair Cindy Ecker, Member Paul Grimble, and Member John Grady unanimously approved deck work at 6 Fortune Road, a library ramp removal at 297 Route 6A, a privacy fence at 1 Halyard Road, and an accessory dwelling unit at 285 Mayfair Road with specifications for gray clapboard and white garage doors; a Clarke renovation at 25 Belle of the West Road passed 3-0-1 with Ecker abstaining. The committee tabled a 39-panel solar installation at 16 Church Street, requesting the applicant explore ground-mounted alternatives with zero Route 6A visibility after an abutter and Chair Wilkins noted roof brackets are clearly visible when deciduous trees are bare.
