Planning Board · Meeting of April 1, 2026
Yarmouth Planning Board greenlights two Route 28 mixed-use projects in unanimous votes. The Becker's Package Store redevelopment at 49 and 55 Route 28 won 7-0 approval for a Special Permit to add two two-bedroom residential units above approximately 5,074 square feet of retail space, consolidating three parcels into a 2.26-acre site with 30 parking spaces and a single curb cut. The Residences at Parkers River at 703 Route 28 earned 7-0 approval for a Village Centers Overlay District Site Plan Review for six units in three duplexes on a 0.81-acre parcel, reducing impervious area by 7,600 square feet and including subsurface parking accessed by a single 24-foot driveway.
Both projects feature stormwater management systems designed for 100-year storm events and will eventually connect to municipal sewer infrastructure.
