Planning Board endorses ANR for Kings Way property sale to town.

Planning Board · Meeting of May 20, 2026

Yarmouth Planning Board unanimously endorses revised subdivision plan for Kings Way property. The board voted 6-0 to endorse ANR Plan #2371 M, a 3.14-acre parcel off Nottingham Drive that the Kings Way Condominium Trust is selling to the town as open space to meet a June 1 grant deadline. The board also discussed preliminary STR zoning amendments based on a UMass study, with findings showing STRs comprise 5-8 percent of the housing stock and have limited impact on year-round availability; STR excise tax revenue declined from $2.1 million in FY24 to $1.9 million in FY25.

Town Planner Kathy Williams will solicit board member input by May 27 for a revised draft due at the June 3 meeting, with topics including sunset clause extension, investor property caps, occupancy limits, and nuisance definitions.
