Recycling and Solid Waste Advisory Committee · Meeting of May 13, 2026

Yarmouth's Recycling and Solid Waste Advisory Committee reviewed disposal area improvements and regional recycling practices at its May 13 meeting. Chair Bill Glass and members toured the facility, where a newly installed license plate reader is helping identify sticker abuse, though staff continue to refine operations. Guest speaker Julie Kennie, Volunteer Community Education Coordinator for the Town of Dennis DPW, shared her municipality's recycling program approach.

The committee unanimously approved prior minutes and scheduled household hazardous waste collection with latex paint services for July 18, 2026, and an additional latex paint event for August 1 at the Tony Kent area in conjunction with Dennis DPW and Barnstable County.
