RASWAC schedules disposal area tour, plans spring outreach campaign.

Recycling and Solid Waste Advisory Committee · Meeting of April 8, 2026

YARMOUTH — The Recycling and Solid Waste Advisory Committee scheduled a public tour of the town's disposal facility for April 21 at 4 p.m. Chair Bill Glass and members Brian Braginton-Smith, Bill Boyd, and Tim Layman, along with others, approved prior minutes and discussed spring outreach priorities including composting, household hazardous waste collection, and plastic contamination reduction. A license plate reader became fully operational April 1, and the committee is working with the state Department of Environmental Protection on remediation of a waste oil leak from a metal container at the facility.

First-quarter recycling metrics have been delayed due to data anomalies and will be shared in May.
