YARMOUTH — Waterways committee approves two waterfront projects, backs $2.6 million grant bid. The Waterways and Shellfish Advisory Committee unanimously recommended the Cape Cod Engineering Inc. pier reconstruction at 222 Pleasant Street and Shorefront Consulting's Dinah's Pond dredging project to Conservation, both with regulatory conditions. Chairman Julian Mallett signed a support letter for the Packet Landing Resiliency Project backing a $2.6 million combined grant application to the Coastal Zone Management program with a March 20 deadline; the project has already secured $504,000 from the Community Preservation Committee and requires spring Town Meeting approval.
Director Dave Condon coordinated discussions around shellfish relocation protocols modeled on the prior Sweetheart Creek dredging project.
