Yarmouth Substance Awareness Committee approves prior minutes, hears expansion pitch. Chair Annie Catalano opened three positions, co-chair, secondary harm reductionist treatment provider, and student representative, and featured FIRST Steps Together, a peer-led program serving expectant parents and families with young children who have substance use experience across the Cape from Sagamore to Provincetown. Program Director Christina Russell described eight years of home visits, intake screening within 24 to 48 hours, and tailored parenting and recovery services.
Melissa Payne reported the YSAC Touch a Truck Event attracted 150 to 200 attendees and announced the Duffy Mobile Unit shower stations are now operational at St. David's Church in Yarmouth on Mondays.
