Yarmouth Zoning Board of Appeals approves art-event variance and residential ADU, rejects sign variance. The board unanimously granted a one-time Variance to petitioner Kiley Owen to hold a one-day display and sale of local artists' work at 189 Center Street, a residential R-40 zoning district, with no signage condition; also unanimously approved a Special Permit with conditions for Lourival Santos dba Lourival Masonry LLC to increase a cottage ridge height from 14 feet to 17 feet and add 176 square feet for a one-bedroom accessory dwelling unit at 96 South Shore Drive, restricting further impervious coverage. The board granted a Variance to Cape & Islands Signs for an oversized 46-inch sign at 121 Route 6A that exceeded the 24-inch maximum, though the applicant later withdrew the companion Special Permit application without prejudice.
