Design panel approves Wicked Waves comments
Other Committee 2026-09-14 Part 2 · Meeting of September 14, 2026
Yarmouth design panel presses Wicked Waves Cape Cod on tower height and materials, then approves its own advisory comments. Attorney Andrew Singer presented plans to relocate inflatable rides, add a water slide and build out an "Aloha Bay" expansion at 492-540 Route 28, where three motels were demolished. Member Sarah Porter objected to a decorative wood tower rising to 28 feet above a berm-and-fence buffer, saying "it just seems out of place to me," but did not block the project.
Member Kathy Williams pushed for a completed materials specification sheet after plans listed siding only as "panel and trim board siding." The committee voted unanimously by voice to approve its comments, sending the project to Site Plan Review and the Zoning Board of Appeals, with finished colors and materials promised at next week's hearing.
