Yarmouth Library Board re-elects Bovino, updates family services policy

Library Board · Meeting of July 16, 2026

Yarmouth Library Board re-elects Bovino chair, updates family services policies. The board unanimously re-elected George Bovino as chair and elected Helen Niedermeier as secretary, determining that a vice-chairperson position was unnecessary during its July 16 meeting. Library Director David Aronson reported the library posted a second full-time Senior Library Technician position attracting more than a dozen applicants, following Christine Drowne's departure to Dennis Public Library.

The board directed staff to rename its children's policy as the Children and Family Policy, incorporating teen services guidelines into the updated framework, with the revised policy to return for review in August.
