Yarmouth Special Town Meeting Postpones Sole Article
Town Meeting · Meeting of June 24, 2026
Yarmouth special town meeting shelves its only article and adjourns within minutes. With the regular moderator unavailable, voters elected Robert "Bob" Lawton as temporary moderator before Select Board Chair Tracy Post moved that Article I "be indefinitely postponed," a motion that passed by unanimous voice vote without discussion. Town Clerk Mary Maslowski certified the warrant as duly posted under Massachusetts General Laws before business began, and officials from the Select Board, Finance Committee, town counsel and administration introduced themselves to voters.
The recording did not describe Article I's underlying subject. Voters then approved a motion to dissolve the meeting unanimously, closing the session shortly after it opened.
