YARMOUTH — The Yarmouth Planning Board rehearsed its case for the Nov. 16 special town meeting. A member led the discussion of four short-term rental and accessory dwelling unit articles, with staff saying the excise tax sends 75 percent of revenue to wastewater and expires Nov. 30. Member Tom Pendleton said the goal is to "control commercialization, not, you know, end commercialization." The board voted unanimously to let its officers individually endorse subdivision documents and approved Oct. 27 minutes 4-0 with two abstentions.
Members leaned against new rental caps for the April 27, 2027 annual meeting, with placeholders due Dec. 18.
