Preservation committee extends grant deadlines, approves coalition dues
Community Preservation Committee · Meeting of September 9, 2026
YARMOUTH — The Community Preservation Committee extended two project timelines from the 2024 Annual Town Meeting. Chair Judy Wilchynski and members voted unanimously (6-0-0) to extend the Invasive Species Management grant for two additional years; the grant has $22,800 remaining from an original $37,000 award and will continue restoration work on several town-owned properties. The committee separately approved a December 31, 2026 deadline for the Town Ways to Water Assessment, originally due in July 2026, after the Department of Natural Resources requested additional time to complete land survey work to determine property boundaries.
The committee also unanimously approved payment of $4,350 in annual Community Preservation Coalition dues, unchanged from the previous fiscal year.
