Yarmouth CPA Committee presents annual program update at public hearing

Yarmouth Community Preservation Committee holds annual hearing on program priorities and future funding. Chair Judith Wilchynski opened the Committee's annual public hearing at 3:00 p.m., presenting an overview of the CPA program and accomplishments to date. Committee members updated the board on historic preservation, including a Revolutionary War Memorial dedication set for June 20, 2026; housing initiatives; open space conservation, with the Chase Brook Park waterfront project on schedule; and recreation projects including Parker's River Landing grand opening on May 2, 2026.
Town Administrator Robert Whritenour, serving as Affordable Housing Trust Chair, urged the Committee to replace the Housing Buy-Down Program with Mixed-Use Development and emphasized the importance of CPA grant matching funds.
