Board Continues Goat Farm Application After Community Objections
Board of Health · Meeting of July 6, 2026
YARMOUTH — Board of Health continues goat farm decision pending site visits. The board tabled a stable-license application for 30 miniature goats and two donkeys at 88 and 100 Mill Lane after neighbors objected to the farm's size and proximity to Hallett's Mill Pond. Board member Laurance Venezia recommended waiting until after site visits, and Mary Craig's motion to continue the discussion to July 20 passed unanimously.
In separate action, the board approved Shaw's plastic variance request with a 3-1 vote (Hillard Boskey abstaining), permitting plastic cups through October 31 while the business pursues full compliance with the town's disposable foodware regulations.
