Board of Health reviews 15 human services grant applications

YARMOUTH — Board of Health hears 15 human services grant applications, defers funding vote. The board, with Hillard Boskey, M.D., Chair; Mary Craig, Vice Chair; and Eric Weston, Clerk present, heard presentations from organizations requesting between $3,000 and $20,000 in FY2027 funding. The board set a $20,000 cap on individual grants and will vote on all allocations at its next meeting.
The board also approved the Massachusetts Coastal Railroad Yearly Operational Plan for Vegetation Control as compliant with regulations, though members raised questions about herbicide use and resident notification procedures.
