Other Committee · Meeting of October 14, 2026

YARMOUTH — The Yarmouth Community Preservation Committee trimmed a Bass River trail grant and questioned a HACC housing program's eligibility. Members directed the town engineer, identified as Amanda, to resubmit the Weir Road trail application after town counsel ruled a water main relocation ineligible, cutting the request to $452,996. Town Counsel Stuart also found HACC's Assistance Resource Center application, seeking $100,000, does not qualify for CPA funds; a vote was deferred to October 21.

Member Judy Wilczynski said of a separate $240,000 HACC home-loan program, "We just need to do a better job of explaining how it works." A Yarmouth Port Cultural Center deck replacement estimated at $33,575 remains in question since counsel has said CPA money cannot fund additions to historic buildings. The committee adjourned on a 7-0 roll call vote.
