Zoning Board Approves Two Variance Requests

Yarmouth Zoning Board approves two setback variances. The board voted 5-0 to approve a variance for Christopher and Angela Moniz to construct a 12-by-16-foot storage shed at 3 Paula Lane, West Yarmouth, with conditions to maintain fencing and relocate the shed if the town requires South Sea Avenue widening. The board also voted 5-0 to approve a variance for Robert P.

Pingeton Jr. and Suzanne S. Pingeton to install a 22-by-28-foot above-ground pool at 146 Beacon Street. The board noted the transition to a "practical difficulty" variance standard, replacing the former "substantial hardship" criterion.
