Zoning Board approves year-round cottage rental conversion

Zoning Board of Appeals · Meeting of August 27, 2026

YARMOUTH — Zoning Board approves year-round cottage rental use on Pond Street. Isabella M. Marino received unanimous approval to relocate one cottage and increase its height, converting two 1940-built cottages to year-round operation from their current April through November seasonal restriction.

The property spans approximately 26,770 square feet with a main house of 2,235 square feet and cottage areas totaling 736 square feet. The 5-0 approval comes as board members acknowledged a town need for small year-round rental units. In related action, the board approved a Gate Way duplex-to-condominium conversion (5-0), while two other petitions for boat parking and commercial wrapping operations were withdrawn without prejudice.
