Zoning Board continues Habitat for Humanity affordable housing hearing

Zoning Board of Appeals · Meeting of June 25, 2026

Yarmouth Zoning Board continues comprehensive permit hearing for six-home affordable housing project. The board held the hearing for Habitat for Humanity's proposal to construct homes at 1121 Route 28 #B and continued the matter to August 13 pending submission of revised materials. The board requested revisions to house placement for Lots 4 and 5, landscaping and tree-retention details, and cedar-shingled shed drawings with specific dimensions.

The project drew three letters of opposition from residents on Wood Road and memos of support from the Affordable Housing Trust, Community Housing Committee, and Planning Board.
