Yarmouth Conservation Commission approves invasive species program with focus on multiple town locations. The Commission voted unanimously to authorize invasive species management across multiple Conservation Areas and Ways to Water, with funding pending from the Community Preservation Committee and Community Economic Development Council. Conservation Administrator Brittany DiRienzo presented the initiative as a continuation of the town's open space and recreation plan.
The Commission also processed multiple environmental determinations and Orders of Conditions for residential development, including requirements for permeable driveways and enhanced stormwater management. In a 4-1 vote, the Commission approved the Seaside Festival's Fireworks Pollution Control Plan while directing that fireworks will not be approved at future festivals.
