Conservation Commission approves coastal construction permits

YARMOUTH — The Conservation Commission approved permits for four coastal construction projects at its August 6 meeting. Members unanimously granted Orders of Conditions for seawall reconstruction at 14 Compass Drive and 143 Mayflower Terrace, and Certificates of Compliance for projects at 12 Vermont Avenue and 3 Andrina Road, all with a 4-0 vote. The Commission also greenlit Phase 2 riprap placement at 1 Malfa Road and a one-year vista pruning determination for town conservation land at Thacher Shore Road with conditions requiring preconstruction meetings and maintenance plans.

The Commission continued to August 20 its review of a bulkhead project at Blue Rock Road pending maintenance and nourishment details.
