WRAC reviews progress on water recovery facility construction

YARMOUTH — Water Resources Advisory Committee reviews Water Resource Recovery Facility and collection system construction progress. The Yarmouth WRAC received updates from Wright-Pierce project manager Louis Ragozzino on six construction contracts for the town's Water Resource Recovery Facility and collection system, with the main facility now targeted for substantial completion in January 2028. Contract 6, a Route 28 sewer line extension to Barnstable, drew a low bid of $19.3 million from Robert B.

Our, with a notice of intent to award issued and work anticipated in fall 2026. The committee is advancing state Revolving Fund permitting for a groundwater disposal system at Bayberry Hills Golf Course to handle 1.815 million gallons per day of effluent, with a project evaluation form due July 31, 2026.
