Water Resources facility completion targeted for January 2028.

YARMOUTH — The Water Resources Advisory Committee heard that the Water Resources Recovery Facility is now scheduled for substantial completion in January 2028, with the main construction contract awarded to CH Nickerson for approximately $97.55 million having issued $957,955 in change orders. CDM Smith completed pilot testing of leaching manholes for the groundwater discharge system, with a draft hydrogeologic report submitted to state regulators on March 4. Collection-system construction continues across five active contracts, with South Shore Drive anticipated to reopen the week of April 13.

Robert B. Our submitted an apparent low bid of $19.3 million for Contract 6 covering Route 28 from Higgins Crowell Road to the Barnstable town line, pending formal state authorization to award.
