Yarmouth Design Review Committee unanimously backs 6,700-square-foot Town Fair Tire addition at Lodger Plaza. The committee voted 3-0 at its May 19 meeting to approve design review comments for a proposed Town Fair Tire store at the southern end of Lodger Plaza on Station Avenue, which also houses Stop and Shop. Construction manager John Wipachowski, architect Andrew Milliken, and civil engineer Matthew Ashley of Bowler presented a plan featuring a five-bay rear service area, brick and clapboard cladding designed to match the existing plaza, and new in-lot landscape islands.
Town Planner Kathy Williams flagged one compliance issue — parking lot trees removed since the plaza's last special permit must be replanted by the owner, likely as a ZBA condition. The project, under 10,000 square feet, does not trigger a Development of Regional Impact review but requires ZBA relief for the Aquifer Protection District overlay. Peter Malpass of community economic development called the application "thorough" and said the town is "just delighted."
